Here’s an interesting article picked up from the Daily Mail – Hotel Book In X Factor To Film at Couples Wedding Reception Venue
I feel really sorry for the couple, ignoring the list of mistakes made by the venue and Wedding DJ, this special day where the happy couple are meant to be the centre of attraction, has been ruined by the presence of the X Factor crew.
There are a few points worth mentioning:
- I think the invited guests have acted very rudely by allowing themselves to be distracted by the X Factor filming
- The groomsmen could of helped the situation by rounding up wayward guests
- Many country house wedding venues have several function rooms so can have multiple weddings / functions going on on any particular day, this can be a strain on the venues resources – i.e. cooking facilities / staff to serve you – beware – you could go for exclusive use at such a venue of choose another venue
- Read the comments about The Grove hotel – not very good are they?
I think the venue have let the couple down very badly on the day – £6,000 compensation for such treatment doesn’t seem enough to me.
As for the DJ playing the wrong First Dance track – there is a simple solution to that:- Hire a good Wedding DJ
